On Friday, July 19, 2024, the Ambassador of the France in Cyprus, H.E. Mrs. Salina Grenet-Catalano, the French Senator H.E. Mr. Olivier Cadic, as well as Ms. Helene Francois and Ms. Sixtine Lefeuvre met with CyI President, Prof. Stavros Malas at CyI’s premises. This visit held special significance as it included a farewell gathering for Ambassador Grenet-Catalano, marking the end of her successful tenure as the Ambassador of France to Cyprus.

 

During the meeting, Prof. Malas honored Ambassador Grenet-Catalano, acknowledging her invaluable contributions and efforts in strengthening the relations between France and Cyprus. The discussions underscored the deep diplomatic ties and mutual respect between the two countries, reflecting the positive impact of the Ambassador’s work.

 

This visit was a great opportunity for The Cyprus Institute Senior Members to express their gratitude and bid a heartfelt farewell to the Ambassador. The gathering highlighted the appreciation and high regard for Ambassador Grenet-Catalano’s service and achievements during her time in Cyprus, leaving a lasting legacy of strengthened Franco-Cypriot relations.

 

The farewell gathering was also attended by CREF CEO and Institute Prof. Costas N.
