Public and Industry Engagement

The Computation-based Science and Technology Research Center (CaSToRC) at the Cyprus Institute plays a central role in advancing the adoption of high-performance computing (HPC) and related digital technologies in Cyprus. Its designation as the country’s National Competence Centre (NCC) in HPC within the EuroHPC framework underscores its importance in fostering exascale computing across Europe. This initiative aims to bolster scientific discovery, innovation, and competitiveness through HPC, high-performance data analytics (HPDA), AI, and computational modeling.

Engagement activities:
  • Collaboration with industries and public sector entities via:
    • Research partnerships.
    • National and EU funded projects.
    • Consultation services and training under EuroCC2 and SIMEA.
    • Support of European Digital Innovation Hub (DiGiNN) services.
  • Consultation Services and Training under EuroCC2 include:
    • Tailored trainings in HPC, HPDA, AI, and simulations to meet the needs of industrial, academic, and governmental organizations.
    • Building HPC expertise in Cyprus to enhance research and innovation capabilities.
