Joint Degrees
Joint degrees provide a unique opportunity for students to study at more than one institution of higher education. Students gain experience at world-renowned institutions and have the opportunity to experience life in more than one city. Doctoral students at The Cyprus Institute (CyI) have the option to pursue their PhD studies at CyI jointly with internationally recognized institutions with which CyI maintains agreements for joint degrees. Currently about one third of our students are enrolled in joint degrees.
Students enrolled in joint degrees must comply with admission requirements and regulations at both institutions.

The Cyprus Institute was the first institute in Europe and currently one of the very few, to coordinate two European Joint Doctorate programs funded through Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions: HPC LEAP (High Performance Computing in Life Sciences, Engineering and Physics) which was completed in 2019, and STIMULATE (Simulation in Multiscale Physical and Biological Systems).
