Gkampriella Selempa is a Research Assistant in Osteoarchaeology at the Science and Technology in Archaeology and Culture Research Center (STARC), The Cyprus Institute. She holds a degree in History and Ethnology from the Democretus University of Thrace and a Master’s degree from UCL in Bioarchaeology and Forensic Anthropology.
Prior to her appointment at STARC, she has been working on different projects in cooperation with the Department of Antiquities, including the excavation of Bronze age tombs in Linou, and Hellenistic and Roman tombs in Achna, and the participation in surface field research in many different areas of the island among other projects.
Her last position was at the Office Combating Illicit Possession and Trafficking of Antiquities where in collaboration with the Department of Antiquities she was involved in cases related to private collectors in Cyprus.
