Mehmetcan Soyluoğlu is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at STARC, The Cyprus Institute. He received his PhD in Science and Technology in Cultural Heritage from The Cyprus Institute, following graduate studies in Classical Mediterranean archaeology at the University of Sheffield and undergraduate training in Classical Archaeology at Ankara University.
 
His research brings together dendroarchaeology, landscape archaeology, and heritage science, with a particular focus on Cyprus and the Eastern Mediterranean. His work explores wooden cultural heritage, monastic landscapes, and the relationship between material evidence, environment, and historical interpretation.
 
His broader interests also include the documentation, preservation, and interpretation of cultural heritage through interdisciplinary approaches that connect research with contemporary heritage concerns.
