Giulia Albertazzi holds a BA and MA in Archaeology from the University of Bologna and a Specialisation Diploma in Prehistoric Archaeology from the joint postgraduate program in Archaeological Heritage of the Universities of Trieste, Udine and Venice. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Digital Humanities and Landscape Archaeology program at the University of Cyprus, focusing on Cyprus Prehistory and Protohistory.
 
With five years of experience as a freelance field archaeologist in Italy, she has also participated in several excavations in Cyprus and Kuwait, gaining expertise in excavations, field surveys, geophysical surveys, and archaeological illustration. Her research interests lie in the interactions between ancient communities and their environments, with a special focus on the role of freshwater resources. Currently working as a technical research assistant in sample preparation, she is keen to expand her expertise in archaeometry, sampling strategies, and analytical techniques to enhance her interdisciplinary approach to Archaeology.
