Nayia Nicolaou holds the position of Senior Research Coordination Officer for the DIGINN project that aspires to become a one-stop-shop for the digital transformation of all companies and public sector organisations.
 
Nayia holds a BSc in Genetics from the University of Nottingham (2009) and an MSc in Genetics of Human Diseases from University College London (2010), followed by a PhD in Medical Genetics at UMC Utrecht (2011-2016), where she investigated the genetic causes of hereditary kidney diseases using NGS.
 
Following her studies, Nayia was employed as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Epigenetics lab at the University of Cyprus and then the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, where she contributed to the research projects of the Clinical Genetics Department. She was then employed as Project Manager and Proposal Writer at GrantXpert Consulting Ltd and as an R&D Program Manager and Researcher at eBOS Technologies Ltd.  
 
Throughout her professional roles, she gained extensive experience in research, project management, and grant proposal writing and coordination.
