Established more than fifteen years ago as ERA-MORE, the Network of EURAXESS (
https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/) is a European Research Area key initiative facilitating researchers’ mobility, supporting the career development of researchers, and ensuring attractive careers in research across Europe and beyond. With 42 countries and more than 600 Service Centres and Local Contact Points backing it, EURAXESS, with its 40 national portals with country-specific information, continues supporting thousands of research institutions, entrepreneurs and industry, as per its iconic motto “Researchers in Motion”.
CyI has long been a first-line supporter of the European Research Area (ERA) and Researchers’ mobility. Besides holding an important H2020 ERA-Chair grant, bringing about transformational change in ERA issues, CyI has been an Endorser of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. CyI has also conducted the internal Action Plan for the accreditation of excellence in Human Resources Strategy for Researchers.
Represented at the highest level by its President, Prof. Papanicolas, CyI has tangibly committed to the function of EURAXESS Service Centre senior personnel from our Human Resources and our new H2020 Widespread Teaming, Centre of Excellence Climate and Atmosphere Research Centre (CARE-C).
