Abstract
Identifying functional protein sites and understanding which and how genetic variations alter them are central questions for bioengineering, medicine, and fundamental biology. I will present three methods we recently developed in the team to assess the outcome of sequence variations on the interactions and functioning of proteins. They leverage the massive amounts of publicly available protein sequence and 3D structure information. Beyond predictive power, they provide interpretable outcomes and data representations.
