Agora 3.0 will create a one-stop-shop infrastructure to foster innovation in the field of applied technological solutions for the healthcare sector. It connects researchers and engineers with a healthcare provider. The agglomeration of Innovative activity enables the transparent and fast sharing of health data and technology. Academia and industry can mobilize data via its technology platform, and compile, process or model the data using the platform's considerable computing power to run complex research algorithms or Innovative software solutions. In parallel, Agora 3.0 will create a trial and implementation platform, enabling the fast transition towards the clinic while always focusing on the patient. Lastly, Agora 3.0 will provide open access to high-end medical technology such as digital tissue scanner and 3T MR-elastography. Thus, the Agora 3.0 infrastructure will establish a cluster of excellence by (i) offering access to novel equipment, (ii) offering access to state-of-the-art medical data and (iii) connecting multidisciplinary experts with individual patients using blockchain technology.

The innovative potential of Agora 3.0 will be challenged in a pilot project called "Advanced technology Solutions for Personalized Medicine in Prostate Cancer Patients (ProTech)" in which digital solutions originating from the Agora 3.0 consortium will tackle unmet needs in the sector of Personalized oncology. The aim of Personalized oncology is the adaptation of standard treatment regimen based on two major factors: the individual patient's (i) tumor characteristics and (ii) preferences.

ProTech's two side projects will address both by including prostate cancer patients, the most common tumor in males. Project 1: Prostate cancer biopsy can be replaced by deep-learning based interpretation of advanced medical imaging, achieving a non-invasive prostate cancer tissue characterization. Project 2: The in-depth usage of a mobile health app before and after treatment improves patient empowerment.
