Maria holds a Master degree in Information Security and a BS in Computer Security (Belarusian State University). During her studies she was focusing on Bioinformatics. Her Master’s dissertation is titled: Classification of cancer subtype and stage using genomic data.
Maria is currently enrolled as a PhD student at The Cyprus Institute under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Karl Jansen. As part of her PhD project, she is investigating Quantum Boltzmann Machines in order to gain insights on the training and scalability issues in Quantum Machine Learning. Since 2022, she is employed by Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY, Germany.
