Katiana has joined the Energy, Environment and Water Research Center (EEWRC) of the Cyprus Institute as a PhD student in March 2016. Previously, she was working as a Research Assistant at EEWRC in the field of climate change impacts on agriculture. She received a BSc in Physics and a MSc in Astrophysics, Geophysics and Meteorology with specialization in Meteorology from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridsky” in Sofia, Bulgaria. Her BSc thesis was titled: ”The sun as source of energy for the atmospheric processes” and her MSc thesis: “Verification of PRECIS regional climate model for the area of Bulgaria in the period of 1961-1990”.
