George is as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Atmospheric and Climate Research Group of the Energy, Environment and Water Research Center (EEWRC).
He holds a BSc in Geology and an MSc in Meteorology, Climatology and Atmospheric Environment from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He received his PhD in Environmental and Atmospheric Sciences from the Cyprus Institute in April 2015. In the past he has also worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in Mainz, Germany.
He is/was involved in a number of Climate Change related projects such as BINGO (Bringing INnovation to onGOing water management - a better future under climate change), C8 (Consistent Computation of the Chemistry-Cloud Continuum and Climate Change in Cyprus) and CORDEX (Coordinated Regional Climate Downscaling Experiment). His research interests include: Climate Change and Impacts, Regional Climate Modeling (PRECIS, CL-WRF), Climate Statistics, Climate Extremes, Land-Atmosphere Interactions, Climate Dynamics, Climate Change Communication.
