Dr. Michalis Yiangou is the Vice President for Operations of the Cyprus Institute (CyI). He is also serving as the Secretary of the Board of Directors of CyI. He is heading the Operations Division of the Institute (Administrative Services and Finance). Units directly reporting to Dr. Yiangou include Accounts and Finance, Human Resources, Facilities and Infrastructure, IT services, Communications & Events and Health & Safety.
Dr. Yiangou holds a BA degree (University of Cyprus), MPhil degree and a PhD degree in Education (University of Cambridge) and an MBA degree (Open University of Cyprus). Prior to joining CyI he was a researcher and a scientific coordinator at the Cyprus Council of Educational Evaluation and Accreditation (Ministry of Education, Cyprus).
Dr. Yiangou joined CyI in 2004. In 2011 he was appointed as Associate Vice President for Operations and he is heading the administration services of CyI since then. In 2018 he was promoted to Vice President for Operations.
