Andreas received his BSc degree with honors, from Computer Engineering from the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at University of Cyprus in 2011. Subsequently, he continued his studies for a Master's degree in Computer Engineering at the same department.
Furthermore, he has been working in the Electrical and Computer Engineering in collaboration with the Computer Science department at University of Cyprus, as a special scientist, from June 2011 until April 2013. During his occupation he was actively participating in research performed under the aegis of Seventh Framework Programme "Eurocloud", on designing an energy-conscious 3D Server-on-Chip. He was focused on the design of the reliability framework of Networks on Chip (NoCs).
Finally, his research in Eurocloud project resulted in two publications so far in international conferences, namely, "NoCAlert: An On-Line and Real-Time Fault Detection Mechanism for Network-on-Chip Architectures." in MICRO 2012 and "Thermal Characterisation of Cloud Workloads on a Low-power Server-on-Chip." in ICCD 2012.
